In a town where the old roads crossed
There lived a Man he was completely lost
And all his friends they were broken by design
He said "I'm working, but I'm not alright"

He had a job but he never had a name
He prayed to God over and over again
He hoped that someday he would be taken into the sky
But it doesn't work that way and he just died


And there was a Girl who promised never to be
Like any of her parents she said she'd always be free
But the weight of the world it was too hard on the girl
She took a bunch of pills to get away from it all
